2016 HGTV Smart Home Tour in Raleigh, NC
Update: The 2016 HGTV Dream Home has a winner. However, it’s still fun to visit.
Y’all! Do you want to live near me in Raleigh, NC?
Of course, right?!
Would you like to have the talented designer, Tiffany Brooks design your home?
Who wouldn’t?
Would you like to have a brand spankin’ new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC at your disposal?
Ummm, no question!
Do you want a a 1.2 million dollar home in Raleigh, NC complete with furnishings and all the hi-tech gadgets?
YES! YES! YES!
It’s fun to dream! We could be friends and I could come over and have coffee with you in your gorgeous kitchen.
We could sit outside and enjoy the cool breezes on your upper patio (yes, I just said upper because there are two patios!)
And if the mosquitos are buzzing, you can push a button and all the screens on your porch will automatically protect us.
After a leisurely morning, we’d agree that it might be a good idea to work off those calorie-laden flavored coffees. We could head downstairs to your private exercise room.
After a good cardio workout, we’d kick up our feet and watch some Fixer Upper episodes in your media room. Then laugh every time Joanna says, “ship lap”, because wouldn’t that make a fun drinking game?
Maybe later we could retreat to your home office where you and I can browse Pinterest together.
After dark we’d head back downstairs to that lower patio and sip some wine while listening to the cicadas.
And if IÂ have too much wine and can’t make the 10 minute drive home, I’d stay in your guest room!
But, then I might fall in love with your guest room and refuse to move out. That might be awkward.
Ummm, I guess I’ll leave you to envision yourself living in the 2016 HGTV Smart Home without me in it.
Here’s your luxurious master bedroom with a sitting area and two light filled sky lights.
Complete with a warm fireplace, and a beautifully framed TV.
The master bathroom where you have to decide between a soak in the tub or a rain shower each day!
And you’d have a huge walk-in closet and dressing area. Just be sure to pull the blinds because I might be driving by gawking at your beautiful home.
Don’t forget about your little one! Isn’t this an adorable nursery that will grow with your child? I love the color palette!
And your child can have their own beautiful bathroom.
And, as you know, every functional home needs a good mudroom.
This mudroom happens to serve triple-duty as a pantry and another office!
The laundry room is a separate room on the second floor with oodles of cabinets. AND, did you happen to notice that there are no lights turned on in the laundry room? Those light sources are actually solar tubes! It’s amazing how much light they bring in.
Speaking of light fixtures you have to admit, this is an impressive grouping of pendant lights in the stairway.
What do you think? Could you live here?
