Summer Tour of Homes – Welcome to My Home
Welcome, welcome! I’m so glad to see you made it. I hope you didn’t get lost.
Did you just get here fromĀ Angie’s house at the Country Chic Cottage? Her home is so cozy and beautiful (so make sure you didn’t miss her stop on the tour!)
I’m so glad to have you over for the 2013Ā Summer Tour of Homes.
It’s hot outside for sure.Ā These North Carolina summers are hot and humid.
Here’s a glass of sweet tea for you to cool off. Come on in and take a load off in our mudroom.
In fact, feel free to kick off your shoes and relax with me for the next few cyber minutes.Ā I’m not going to talk much, instead I’ll let you soak up the sights.Ā Feel free to ask your questions or leave a comment after you’re done.

I promised I wouldn’t talk much, but I have to tell you that this is our brand new kitchen!
It’s still not complete because I have to install the tile on the backsplash and the wall to the right of the sink. But, it’s a far cry from where our kitchen was several months ago after we had an unfortunate plumbing leak.
We truly made lemonade out of that big serving of wet, moldy, asbestos and termite damaged lemons!

I have banquette envy. Love your breakfast nook! Thanks for opening your home..
Stacy, thank you. It is a nice spot to land. You’ll have to build one for yourself! Did you catch the tutorial I posted the other day? https://prettyhandygirl.com/2013/06/building-a-window-seat-with-storage-in-a-bay-window.html

Thank you Heather. I appreciate your comment and that you took the time to sit through that looooonnnnggg tour ;-D
So much to love!!! I want the kitchen and the craft room! Love the bedrooms and the outdoor space…ok I love it all! Thanks for the tour!
Debbie
Thanks Debbie. And you are so welcome.
okay.. funny story…
The fabric that’s on your round glass top table? that’s the fabric my duvet is made of in my master bedroom. (aqua with green leaves and that pluumy color burst…) the green geometric fabric is the reverse of my curtains. Yours is green with the white… mine’s white with the green.
now… what I need to know is…
WHERE did you get the FABRIC for the table cloth? (The round table, glass top, under the vase of hydrangeas?) I could use some more, and possibly (mostly) some coordinating fabrics to reupholster a chair in our master bedroom…. and to make some more toss pillows. I’ve got some in the same color family but I still have a bunch of other toss pillows that need new covers. And I small throw for the foot of my bed to use when napping, as opposed to unmaking my bed…. I would LOVE to be able to whip one up…
thanks!
oh actually that’s hilarious… you used the shower curtain, also. š and I checked, mine is the green with white links, just like yours. hehe… so funny to look here and see the SAME fabrics I paired in someone else’s home (even tho yours is outside, while mine is inside….)
Thanks for the tour of your beautiful home! You are inspiring…not just by your DIY Talents but also how beautifully you put together this post.
I love your home, it’s got such great color and style. I feel your pain on the kitchen. we had something very similar! You make amazing lemonade!!!! š
