Sneak Peek of our Kitchen
I am so thankful for all the comments and well wishes you have given me over the past six months. Many of those comments have lifted my spirits during the long kitchen renovation process. Your belief in me has truly allowed me to take on projects I would have probably shied away from.
After 6.5 months, we finally unpacked our boxes and officially moved back into the kitchen. The plumber hooked up our sink and dishwasher on Tuesday. It was a milestone for us. My boys (young and adult) acted as if the kitchen sink was a thing of wonder.
As a thank you for helping me through the process of building our kitchen back after the leak, I’m giving you a little sneak peek of the progress. It’s not complete, but I feel like I owe you this little video preview:

Brittany, it’s looking AMAZING! That sink… UGH! Also, isn’t it crazy how much under-cabinet lighting adds to a kitchen? Makes it feel so much more ‘gourmet’ and classy. Love following along on your kitchen adventures and can’t wait to see the finished reveal!
Thank you Beth. And I am enjoying this bathtub…errr sink! ;-D
I think I’m in love with your kitchen. It is BEAUTIFUL! It inspires me to think about what I want to do when I get ready to remodel mine. I think my favorite thing is the mismatched hardware. So pretty!!!
This is beautiful Brittany! I’m so happy & excited for you & wow do you ever deserve this & more. It’s all so fabulous, difficult to name & would take too long to list all the things I love.
Oh Brittany! It’s so gorgeous! I’m so, so happy for you and so, so proud of you! I sure do hope you get a magazine feature out of this – you certainly deserve it! Sorry for all of the !!!!!
Suzy, ha. Well, one can dream, right?!
I am so relieved that you have a working kitchen. You have really been through the ‘ringer’ lately. I admire the way you have handled everything that has been handed to you. Your kitchen is lovely. You have many years ahead of you to enjoy it with your boys.
Thank you Barbara. We are enjoying the kitchen and I’m using it as an opportunity to really get the kids to help me cook now.
Liking what I see in the sneek peek so far!
It’s so beautiful, Brittany! I am sure this whole process must seem terribly long to you guys, but I am amazed at how much you have been able to get done!
Jessica,
At times it was trying, but I just kept myself busy. And sometimes I’m amazed that 6.5 months have passed. And sometimes when I think about October 2012, it seems years ago!
Love the sink and the colors. It is so inviting! Great job, definitely a dream kitchen.
Oh it’s gorgeous, so pretty! Such a rough road you have been through….I love that sink and faucet….You give me hope that we can get through our kitchen disaster as well…thank you!!
XO
Kristin
Kristin, I can honestly say, despite all the worms we found in that can we opened (LOL.) It has honestly been worth it and I feel very lucky to have been given this opportunity!
It looks AMAZING, Brittany!!! I can’t wait to see it completely finished. 🙂
Yay for having running water!
I love, love, LOVE that window and sink! They look perfect together. Congrats on getting so much done!! Its definitely a dream kitchen. 🙂
Michele, thank you so much for your sweet comment. Yes, we are loving having running water!!!
It’s looking great! I love love your cabinet hardware, and the counter tops are gorgeous! We are remodeling our bathroom right now and feel like we are in the same boat as you, it will be done eventually and be so worth it in the end. Thanks for being encouraging and keep up the beautiful work:) Love your name by the way… I’m a Bailey girl too!!;)
LOL! Hi Ms. Bailey from Mrs. Bailey ;-D. Thanks for the compliment on my kitchen.
Your kitchen is beautiful! You are sooooo talented and did an amazing job!
Thank you Genny. I am thrilled with everything so far. Wish me luck on the tiling and molding jobs.
I love your new sink! I’m curious about the dish of little hand towels. How do you use them? It looks like a clever way to avoid using too many paper towels.
Erin,
I just picked up the dish and washcloths at HomeGoods. And yes, it has replaced our paper towel addiction. So far I’ve been using them for several days and I’m liking it.
It’s BEAUTIFUL!!! Love it all! Great job, Brittany!
Thank you Melissa. That means a lot coming from the gal whose kitchen I drool over.
Brittany – I cannot wait to see your reveal, and I am elated for you that you finally have the heart of your home back. I cannot imagine how you have survived all of these months but survive you did, and look what a beautiful kitchen you have to show for all of your hard work and efforts. I know you must feel very proud.
xxoo
Thank you Barb. It has been an effort, but now I’m finally seeing the results of my hard work ;-).
