Sometimes there are no words and silence is golden.

“By not talking too much about it. Silence is sometimes the best thing to do, holding a hand, hugging somebody.”
– Reverend Eugene Peterson, an except from this interview on Spiritual Strength in Times of Great Need

    Hi,
Your picture and comments are beautiful and the quote at the bottom of your blog page is so true.
I’m in Canada and we all feel the same up here. I’m not a parent but ever since I heard about the tragedy or see comments such as yours I start to cry. Any time something like this happens it’s terrible but when it’s kids it’s so much worse. So many why-s, how comes. My heart is breaking for the parents who are now trying to cope with a child who is gone; the poor children who were survivors – will they ever recover; the first responders – we all know it’s their job but they are people too and most with children of their own. Will they ever recover?
Thanks you for sharing your thoughts.
All the very best to you and your family during this season,
    Cathy

I am new to your blog, but I am enjoying it very much.

I think your thoughts are on the hearts and souls of every parent in America. I know I had a hard time dropping my 13 & 15 year olds off at school today.

    Merry Christmas!
