Peacock Pride Room Reveal + $10K La-Z-Boy Giveaway

The day has come…you get to see the room I designed around my La-Z-Boy sofa!

When you head over there, you can also watch this short video explaining why I chose this sofa and how I decorated my room around it.

So, are you ready to see my room? I kind of miss it now that I’m back home.

I was crushing on the studs…errr nailhead trim.

I named my room Peacock Pride because of the color of my sofa and then found these two prints to hang on the wall.

A vase of peacock feathers completed the theme.

If you are just getting caught up on the La-Z-Boy Design Dash, it was a challenge to design a room around a sofa that we created. We were given 2.5 hours to shop the La-Z-Boy showroom. Everything you see in the photos (with the exception of a few books and real flowers) was from La-Z-Boy!

Seriously! It’s all from La-Z-Boy.

All of it, right down to the metallic acorn on the coffee table (my favorite element because it’s a shout out to my hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina, the city of oaks!)

I love all the colors in the room. The aqua and orange are my favorite compliments.

My work is done and I’m just going to sit here and enjoy the view.

Disclosure: La-Z-Boy paid for the three day all expenses paid trip to High Point/Greensboro, NC for the #LZBDesignDash. I was not told what to write about or what to say.

Do you have a name for the color of the wall? My kitchen is the color of the aqua you have and the yellow would be great for the dining room next to it.

The sofa is fantastic! I’m with you on the nail heads too. I’ve been so drawn to them lately, I think I may have to use some when I recover one of my arm chairs.

I have to admit, if I had named my room Peacock Pride and then found those cute peacock prints, I would have probably yelled out a “whoo hoo!”

Your room looks fantastic. The turquoise and orange look amazing together. That trip must have been so much fun, and a wee bit stressful- yikes! 🙂

I love the sofa fabric! Love the herringbone addition, too. I am a herringbone lover and have been all of my life. That motivates me to work on my living room!
