Introducing Vineta the Handyman’s Daughter

Hey Handy Readers, who could be more qualified to teach us some home repairs, improvements, and a few DIY projects than a handyman’s daughter? It is with great excitement that I’m introducing, Vineta (pronouced Vin-Net-Ta) from the blog,  The Handyman’s Daughter as our newest contributor! As you’ve probably guessed, Vineta’s father was a handyman. She was always underfoot when her father was working on a project and picked up his passion for fixing and improving things, but adds her own feminine twist.

Vinetta resides in Seattle, Washington, where she lives with her family in a 1946 Cape Cod style home. You must see some of the projects she’s completed in her adorable home, like the dated fireplace she renovated. Be sure to visit her blog to see what she started with!

She also gave her kitchen a facelift on a serious budget! You’ll never guess how she transformed the countertops! Seriously, you will never guess, so check out how she banished those 80’s blue formica countertops. Then come back and tell me if you guessed correctly.

Vineta also has amazing creative talent and uses it to indulge her kids and husband alike. Check out how she transformed an ordinary door into a Tardis Door for her husband, the Doctor Who fan. How cool is that?!

I can’t wait for you to see Vineta’s first tutorial tomorrow. I think you’re going to love it. In the meantime, please give Vineta a warm welcome and be sure to go find Vineta and The Handyman’s Daughter on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter.

What a great transformation she has done! I thought her countertops might be the contact paper but you certainly couldn’t guess it by viewing here. I had a few of those old cabinets somewhere along the way but I’d just as soon forget about them. Fabulous job!
