I’m in Love with Cory…

I’m in love with Cory and all the things he does for me. I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence, but it’s true. Cory has been with me for about two months now and he has easily won over my heart.

Honest, I’m not cheating on my husband. Cory is our rolling storage ottoman from La-Z-Boy. He scoots up close to our sofa and holds my feet after a long day. During the day, we spend a lot of time together, because this has become my favorite spot to blog.)

Before I go on gushing about Cory, I should tell you that this is a sponsored post for La-Z-Boy and they let me custom design Cory for my home. But, I never realized how much I would love him until he came into my living room.

When the La-Z-Boy design consultant first recommended an upholstered ottoman, I was hesitant. I worried that we wouldn’t have anywhere to set our drinks. But, she told me that I just needed to give Cory a tray to hold drinks and other necessities.

The tray is a wonderful thing because it keeps our remote controls corralled. Previously, our coffee table used to become a big mess of magazines, mail and several buried remotes.

I also worried that an upholstered ottoman would look like a big elephant in the room.

Far from it. He is the perfect size to provide leg rest for up to three adults. Cory can also be wheeled around and used for extra seating when we have guests.

But, the thing I love most about Cory is this:

He hides an abundance of pillows and blankets. There are plenty of wii remotes and games under that pile of pillows as well.

Although, I discourage the kids from playing inside Cory, I can rest at ease because there are two generous air holes on the bottom and the hinges hold the weight of the lid at any angle.

I hope you understand why I fell so hard for this gorgeous guy. He is beautiful to look at and he never complains when dinner isn’t ready. I think I’m going to enjoy having him around for a while.

Don’t you want your own personal Cory, too?

Be sure to stop by next week. I’ve been giving you some sneak peeks of the living room makeover, but I’m finally going to show you the whole room. You won’t want to miss it.

I love this ottoman, and it looks fabulous in your living room reveal! Our living room is full of custom woodwork and built in bookcases, and I think that the Canyon color with the Timbuktu pattern would perfectly match it. It has that sort of old cabin feel to the room.

I’ve been looking for a new coffee table/ottoman for our living room – this looks perfect! The Esprit looks so fun and would match a lot of my existing color choices!

Brittany, this ottoman (otto woman?) looks stunning in your completed living room. I love that it has storage inside AND it is on wheels. As I said in my reply to your living room reveal, I’ll be in the market for some new furnishings soon and La-Z-Boy has moved to the top of the stores to check out. Thanks!!!

The surf pattern would look amazing in my pale family room with our lovely green couch. La-z-boy might be the only furniture that could put up with constant abuse from my boys 🙂

Boy do I need that storage space! So many choices, but I keep going back to the “turquoise lucky” color and fabric. I just love all the teals and turquoises!

I’m not sure I could ever fully commit to a fabric. I just spent 20 minutes clicking different options. I think for now I’ve settled on Reflection. I love La-Z-Boy. Our couch and loveseat are from there and they’ve held up perfectly. They’re 5 years old now and look brand new.
