Black + Decker MAX Litihum Flex Vacuum review

Black+Decker sent me their BLACK+DECKER MAX Lithium Flex Vacuum to test. I’ve been holding this review in my back archives for a while. I never like to publish a review until I’ve given a product a thorough testing and make sure it will hold up for the long haul. I’ve been using my Black+Decker MAX Lithium Flex 20V vacuum for a lot of my projects. You may have spotted it when I refinished the paint on my dryer. Or to clean up sawdust out of the grooves on my farmhouse table build. In fact, I grab for this little vacuum anytime I’ve made a little mess or spilled some powdered drink mix, etc.

But, last week I accidentally spilled a package of almonds in the tiny crevice between the seats in my car. I can’t even get my hand in this space, so I ran in to grab the big vacuum cleaner but stopped when I was in front of the Black+Decker Max Lithium Flex. I hate hauling out the big canister vacuum because it’s so heavy, but could a little vac handle nuts?

I honestly doubted it would be able to get all those almonds up. After all, I’d had poor luck in the past with small dust sucking devices.

Much to my surprise it sucked up all the nuts and still had plenty of power and suction left to clean the entire inside of the van! If you have kids and a minivan, you know that’s a tall order!

The Black+Decker MAX Lithium Flex comes with a 2-in-1 nozzle/brush attachment; crevice tool; pet hair attachment; and stick vac floor attachment. The 2-in-1 nozzle works great for cleaning dust out of the nooks and crannies.

After clean up, it’s easy to empty the Black+Decker MAX Lithium Flex. Simply open the front door. And dump the contents into the trash.

The inner filter needs to be removed and cleaned every so often to keep the suction working perfectly.

Simply remove the filter, pull out the filter basket and gently tap it inside the trash can. If the filter gets really dirty, you can rinse it in the sink. So far I haven’t had to clean the filter, but I’m sure I’ll have to wash it sooner or later the way I use it.

The Black+Decker MAX Lithium Flex also has a floor attachment. I’ll be honest with you, it won’t replace your floor vacuum. But, it does about the same as one of those old school manual stick floor sweepers. Overall, it’s an okay feature to have so you don’t have to bend down to clean up. But, this attachment usually just sits all alone in our closet.

When you are finished vacuuming, set the Black+Decker MAX Lithium Flex on the charging base so it’s ready for the next use. The great thing about a lithium battery is that it doesn’t have a memory and you don’t have to run the battery down like the old Ni-Cad batteries. Charge it at will!

I love having this little vacuum available for quick clean ups. I do wish the price was a little cheaper.

Sounds like an interesting vacuum! We’ve been looking for something a little tougher as ours is starting to die. Thanks for sharing this review on this! Might have to get that 15% off deal!
