I am soooo inspired! Thank you for sharing your seemingly endless creativity. I have 4 things planned after visiting your “Best of 2011” and can’t wait to get started. May I ask if you’ve ever been challenged to rehab circa 1980s round-cornered, oak furniture? Not my style, but it was free, it’s very sturdy, and, well, it’s already here! Only 2 suggestions I’ve considered: 1) stain rounded trip & wood handles black to contrast natural oak, or 2) stain entire piece very dark reddish and replace wooden handles with horizontal brushed nickel over a plate of same material (to cover the previous wooden handle well made by manufacturer). I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you again for what you do!

I popped over from the #BlissDom tag and I’m so glad I did. I am a DIY/crafter at heart! My favorite project you listed here is the Dream Big window- so beautiful!

I’m more of a crafter than home improvement junkie, but I grew up in a household of all girls and I’m not afraid to pick up a wrench, saw or nail gun. And being a thrifty lady, I’ll have plenty of opportunity to put my hands to work around the house. (My favorite project in the last year was replacing our kitchen flooring. The demolition was actually kinda fun!)

I hope to have the chance to meet you at BlissDom & look forward to checking back on your blog!
