I’ve been mulling over this post in my head for several days now.. And although I love a good challenge, I’m pretty sure you don’t want to read through a book today. So, today I’m sharing some photos from Blissdom 2012. Stick around for the lessons I learned at Blissdom on Friday.
This year I drove to Nashville from North Carolina. Luckily I had some good bloggy buddies to keep me company along the journey:
At Blissdom, the best place to catch up and get to know other bloggers is through the meals!
We met before Blissdom for a lunch at Cracker Barrel with:
(left to right) Allison: House of Hepworths, Kristen: Ahoy Graphics, Michele: The Scrap Shoppe, Sandra: Sawdust and Paper Scraps, Erin: Two Story Cottage, Pretty Handy Girl, Angie: The Country Chic Cottage, Gail: My Repurposed Life, Jessica: Sunny Tuesday, Rose: Confessions of a Curbshopaholic, Lisa: Condo Blues, Deneen: Micucci Designs, Amy: Positively Splendid
Middle right: Tracy: Lost in Suburbia and Me
Every year I see more pearly whites and prompts to “say cheese” than at a wedding! Seriously, the paparazzi are everywhere!
Clockwise from top left: Sandra and Diane catch me in the act; Me (in the act) and Erin; Sandra and Erin reviewing their snapshots of the day; Sandra and Diane setting up timers and testing remotes for the group shot.
It really is true that laughter is the best medicine. After a few days at Blissdom I felt recharged, happy, and my jaw muscles were sore. LOL!
Bottom row: Sandra posing on a MAC Tools box.
MAC tools was also having a convention at the Gaylord Opryland and we were trying like crazy to get those “Tool Guys” to talk to us (and maybe — you know — give us “tool gals” some free samples. They weren’t biting though. Maybe next year.)
Beautiful Creative Kristi again.
After dark is when the fun really picks up at Blissdom. With live entertainment (Joe Jonas, Chris Mann, and Rascal Flatts) it is hard not to let your hair down and get a little crazy (or a lot crazy.)
I want to give a big shout out and HUGE thank you to Tomboy Tools for sponsoring this post and my trip to Blissdom!
If you haven’t heard, Tomboy Tools makes quality tools made to fit in a woman’s hand.
COMING SOON! The March Tomboy Tools Customer Special is the 8v Impact Drill for only $79 ($10 savings)
In other news, I am so excited to be nominated for a Homie! (A whaaaat? you ask.)
A Homie is a blog award given out by Apartment Therapy every year. All my favorite DIY blogs (and some ones I hadn’t found yet) have been nominated! If you are so inclined, I’d love a vote from you. AND, you can vote for more than one of your favorite DIY blog! So, feel free to vote for ALL your favorites (like I did)! Woowheee.
See you on Friday for the lessons I learned at Blissdom!
